A lot of people pick their way through life feeling like they never quite have enough time for the things they want to do, and while this is probably true to some extent for just about every person, it does not have to be true to nearly the extent that it is for many – and one of the main reasons why many people feel they never have enough time for all the things they want is because they fail to focus when they are doing the things they do not want to do! One of the biggest keys to leading an ultimately fulfilling life is learning how to focus (even when it is not easy!), so as you move forward through your own task – plodding through those things you do not necessarily feel like doing – make sure that you are keeping these things in mind.

When you are at work (which, for many people, is the time when their focus wanes the most), try to keep the things outside of work – such as your regular life, and all the reasons you are working in the first place – in perspective; this does not mean that you should keep them at the forefront of your mind, allowing them to distract you, but when you remind yourself that you are working hard to enable yourself to do [fill in the blank!], it becomes much easier to avoid distractions.

Of course, not all your time outside of work is peachy and relaxing, either; when you are having to do projects around the house or at home, find a way to have fun while doing it, as this will make it easier for you to focus on the task at hand instead of wandering off in your mind and wishing you were doing something different.

And sometimes, it is actually difficult to focus when you have time off and should be having fun, as the fact that you have to go to work in a few more hours (or one more day, or a couple more days!) can loom over your head and make your “fun time” more melancholy than it should be, but remember that you work in order to afford yourself this fun time, and this will help you to put work out of mind and take full advantage of the time you have!

Orange peel feeder: This one is a lot of fun, and all you will need is an orange, some peanut butter, and a pile of bird seed. Simply peel the orange in a circular manner – making sure it comes off in a long, circular strand – then coat the inside of the orange peel in peanut butter, sprinkle it with bird seed, and hang it from the branch of a tree!

Pine cone feeder: Just like the orange peel feeder, the only additional items you will need once you have the pine cone is some peanut butter and some seeds! Hold the pine cone upright, and use a spoon or a brush to coat it with peanut butter - making sure you get down into all the crevices – then fill it up with bird seed and hang your new “feeder” from a tree!

Paint your own feeder: There are also a number of different options that enable you to buy a fully functional feeder and paint it yourself, which can be a fun way to put up a bird feeder that your child feels has a touch that is uniquely “theirs,” without having to make a bird feeder on your own. If you settle on one of these as the right choice for your child (or children!), make sure you take the time to paint it with them, as it will be a memory that sticks out in their mind every time they look out the window to watch the bird feeder!

For most people, macaroni and cheese is always a great dinner choice - but if you are thinking of making some mac and cheese straight from the box, it will also be a terribly unhealthy dinner choice; while it is tough to make macaroni and cheese that is truly “healthy,” it is at least possible to make some that is “more healthy,” and that tastes great to boot!

Making Swiss mac and cheese is not difficult at all, and whether you are cooking for a whole family or cooking just for yourself, it is always an excellent choice, as it feeds plenty of people at once, and as it stores easily in the fridge for just about as long as you could want! Of course, the first thing you will need in order to make Swiss macaroni and cheese is some macaroni elbows; rather than buying over-processed macaroni, however, shell out an extra dollar or two for the fresh, organic macaroni, as this will go a long way in making your meal a much healthier one.

As you boil the water for the macaroni, heat up some oil in a pan, cut up half a yellow union, and – when the oil is hot – add the onions to the pan, stirring regularly; when the onions start to get slightly brown, add a bit of honey to the pan, and continue stirring until the onions begin to border on black.

Around this time, you should be able to add the macaroni to the water, and you can start grating a block of fresh, organic Swiss cheese; cook the macaroni the way you normally would, then drain it and return it to the pot in which it was cooked.

From this point, everything is simple: add the onions and cheese to the pasta, stir until the cheese melts, then add just a little bit of cream and a healthy helping of pepper, and just like that – in no more than 20 or 30 minutes – you will have a great big helping of delicious Swiss macaroni and cheese!

For some people, typing is not something that comes naturally to them, and when they are stuck having to write a paper for school or prepare a project for work, they end up being frustrated and having a difficult time; for others, of course, typing is not so difficult at all, as they are able to type and think quickly when working on such a project – but for both types of people, there are things that can be done to make their typing more efficient, and learning these things will help each person to continually move toward a place where typing is a whole lot easier.

When it comes time to work on a paper for school or for work, realize that it will be much easier for you to complete the paper in a quicker and more effective manner if you work off of an outline instead of trying to work off the top of your head; the outline you make should be simple and easy to read, and furthermore, you should make sure it is as detailed as you can make it, as this will allow you to “fill in the blanks” with your writing, instead of having to come up with everything as you go along.

Also, as you make your plodding way through the first draft of your paper or project, worry less about typos and perfect clarity of thought, and worry more about trying to capture everything during that initial outpouring of thought; when you do this, you will be able to get the bare bones of your paper down much more quickly, and it will then be easy to go back and polish all the things that need polishing.

While many writers – including, more than likely, some of your favorite writers – will recommend Stephen King’s On Writing, far fewer authors have heard of the book Ernest Hemingway On Writing, but this marvelous collection (although not written by Hemingway himself) compiles all of Hemingway’s recorded thoughts on the craft, and is a must-read for anyone who wants to be a writer.

And finally, the best book you can read as an aspiring author is whatever book makes you want to write; if you have a favorite book – a book that absolutely inspires you to pull out your computer and get to work – make sure you reread it every once in a while. Every time you dive into this book, you will likely gain far more than you even could from such works as On Writing and Ernest Hemingway On Writing, as you will get the inspiration you need to get you going!

When it comes to resolving conflict in the home or in the workplace, it is important to do so in the least-acrimonious manner possible. There are many sets of tips and advice that can help anyone in becoming better at conflict resolution, but one of the most important is learning to choose your battles. Whether you are a coach, an athlete, a student, a teacher, a boss, an employee, a coworker, a parent, a sibling, or a son or daughter, it is important to know both how to resolve conflicts when it is necessary to do so and how to walk away from conflicts when it is not necessary to resolve them.

Before you can learn to choose your battles, you mut first learn to recognize that it is not always important for everyone else to know that you are right. This is one aspect of conflict resolution that many people struggle with, as it is difficult for them to keep from letting people know that they themselves are right. Many times, you may be absolutely right about something – and someone else may be absolutely wrong – but the situation will not warrant you letting this person know. Some examples of this are a person getting the facts wrong while telling an inessential story or taking a wrong approach to a project of their own. Once you recognize that it is not always your duty to let someone else know that they are wrong, you will find that you are encountering a lot less conflict.

You should also begin to make an effort to recognize that other people are not always in the wrong just because they are doing something that annoys you. Keep in mind that there are probably things you are doing that annoy them as well, and this will put things into perspective! After all, human beings are all different in small and large ways, and this does not mean that the differences indicate someone is doing something wrong. Rather than trying to force everyone else to conform to your own ways, start to learn to pick your battles instead!

Biodiesel is becoming a very common “green” word that gets tossed around. The buzz about biodiesel is increasing do to the increase of the price of diesel at the pump along with the green movement. Not many people really understand that biodiesel really is even though they have heard of it.

Lets start with the vegetable oil base.  There are two parts of the vegetable oil we are intersted in the first is the actual biodiesel the alkyl esters.  The second part is the glycerin. The glycerin and alkyl esters are separated from one another through a process called transesterification. Glycerin is the byproduct of biodiesel production. The glycerin can be further purified and made into soap or used in other products from here. The alkyl esters are used in the biodiesel.

There are only a limited number of vehicles that can use biodiesel. If you put biodiesel into a gas combustion engine, you are asking for trouble.  You will do a lot of damage to your engine if you try this. Biodiesel can only be burned in diesel engines. Correctly made biodiesel can be burned alone or in mixed with regular diesel. You will see blends labeled something like B20, which would indicate that 20% of the blend is biodiesel. There are some diesel engines that can run on straight biodiesel with little to no modifications needed to do so.

100% biodiesel can be made at home so this an be an advantage for some people. Some car manufacturers will void your warrently though if you run 100% biodiesel in your vehicle. You can make your own biodiesel at home if you wish.  There are some great resources to learn to do so online. Besides your pocket book, there are some advantages to burning biodiesel blends. They are cleaner burning and therefore better environmentally speaking. Biodiesel also helps to lubricate the engine better then regular diesel. Finally by using blends you stretch out the non-renewable fuel longer then it would have gone if you were burning straight petroleum diesel in your engine.
