You might own a polyester shirt that you love dearly, but that does not quite fit you the way you want it to; if this is the case, you may be able to solve this problem. People will tell you that it is not possible to shrink polyester clothes, but this is not the truth if you know what you are doing. You will want to wash your polyester clothes on the highest possible temperature, unless your washer has a “boil wash” setting, which can cause polyester to harden. You do not need detergent for this; you simply need to get your polyester clothes into that hot water for a fair amount of time.

When the wash cycle is finished, transfer the clothes immediately to your dryer, and set it to dry the clothes on the hottest setting. You will want to make sure the clothes dry for long enough that they become completely dry; if they are still damp when you take them out, you will not have the desired results. Finally, check your clothes to see if they have tightened up to the size you want them to be. You may have to repeat this process one or two additional times to get your clothes to just the right size.

Although you will not be able to shrink polyester in the same way cotton or wool can shrink, you can certainly shrink it to a better fit if you take the right steps!

As far as the way we look, one of the toughest things to keep up with is our teeth. Even though we all would like to have white teeth, this can also seem like an impossibility! Our teeth even seem to become more and more discolored when we take the time to brush every morning and every night. The second piece of advice for you to remember is this: remain aware of what stays on your teeth. Brushing every morning and night is great, but it is far better to brush after each meal! Remove that food from your teeth right away. Get that coffee off of them as well! As soon as you see the bottom of the mug, go brush your teeth.

Finally, you need to be aware of what you are brushing with. Remember, there is a reason why the cheapest “whitening” toothpaste is the cheapest! The higher-end toothpaste does not cost that much more, and it just might be worth it. After all, if your teeth remain whiter, you surely will not mind spending a couple extra dollars!

While it might seem that these are purely cosmetic considerations, these tips are actually even good for keeping your mouth healthy in general. All you have to do is pay attention to what you allow to touch your teeth, what you allow to stay on your teeth, and what you use to clean your teeth, and your teeth will stay whiter, and they will also stay a whole lot more healthy.
